Richard L. Ay, Sr.
Memorial Scholarship Program

Richard L. Ay, Sr. served on the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County from 1989-2011. He was passionate about the work of NAHRO, attended many of its educational offerings and was a NAHRO Certified Commissioner. Richard felt strongly that NAHRO’s programs were viable and important in increasing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of those who attended and became certified.

Since his death in 2011, many who knew him and his passion have worked to create this scholarship program. It is hoped that the Richard L. Ay, Sr. Memorial Scholarship will assist those who struggle to enhance their professional growth and career path.
